Norma H. Nefzger
Norma H. Nefzger, 92, Hibbing died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Hillcrest Alice with family present. She was born in Norman County to Helge and Gurine (Baglien) Nelson on May 30, 1925. She was very active in The Salvation Army Corps/Church for nearly 60 years and was known for Bell Ringing at the Kettle. She taught Sunday School, active in the Home League and was the League of Mercy secretary. She was a member of the Sons of Norway. Norma enjoyed walking, her flower garden, and collecting Butterflies and Angels. Norma retired from the Hibbing General Hospital as an employee in the laundry dept.
Norma will be missed by her sons, Leslie Nefzger (Patricia Horack), Hibbing, Rodney (Nancy) Nefzger, Lakeville, MN, and Brian Nefzger, Brooklyn Center, MN, daughters, Lt. Colonel Rebecca (Lt. Colonel Daniel) Sjogren, Rockton, Ill., and Greta Nefzger, Hibbing, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Lantz, siblings, Elmer, Palmer and Gilman Nelson, Gyda Gunderson, Olga Black, Louella Thompson, Agnes Olson, and Mabel Luckow, her parents, a great granddaughter, Persephonee Norma Nefzger Banks and her good friend Tootsi Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at The Open Door Church, 12025 Corey Tracts Rd., Hibbing, with visitation for one hour before the service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
