Olive M. Rasch

Olive M. Rasch, 99, longtime resident of Hibbing died Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Hibbing.  She was born on August 11, 1917 to George and Mary (O’Tool) Lindsey in Cusson, MN.  Olive was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing.  She had been a resident of Hibbing since 1938.  Olive was a dedicated homemaker who loved to bake bread and cookies for her sons and grandchildren.  She baked every other day to keep up with the steady demand for her products.  She loved to spend time at the cabin and take walks in the woods.

She is survived by her children, Clifton Rasch, and Timothy (MaryAnn) Rasch both of Hibbing,  grandchildren, Christopher (Tia) Rasch, Hibbing, Jason (Jessica) Rasch, Hermantown, MN, Wade (Lori) Rasch and Troy (Mary) Rasch, Duluth, Matt Finkleson and Ann (Brad) Rief, Minneapolis, MN, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford in 2006, daughter, Loretta Finkleson, parents, seven sisters, two brothers, and daughter –in-law Georgia Rasch.

Funeral services for Olive will be 11:00am, Friday, February 10, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Kevin Olson will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.  Memorials are preferred to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing, or Fairview Range Hospice in Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
