Patricia Ann “Patty” Erickson
Patricia Ann “Patty” Erickson, 63, Hibbing, died Thursday, October 17, 2013, in her home after a battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was born in Hibbing on January 28, 1950, to Gust and Allie Erickson.  She was a 1968 graduate of Hibbing High School and she later graduated from the Hibbing Community College RN Program.  She worked at Hibbing General Hospital and University of Minnesota’s Intensive Care Unit as well as other hospitals in New Orleans, Las Vegas and Memphis, returning to Hibbing in the mid-1980’s.  Patty worked for Buchanan Nursing Home, Guardian Angels and finally as a traveling Registered Nurse on the Iron Range.
She is survived by a son, Jacob Erickson; a brother, Ted Erickson; three sisters: Jan Johnson, Barbara (Ron) Vogt, and Kathy (Art) Lind; a brother-in-law, Gary Sande; and special friend Robby Robnik; all of Hibbing; as well as many relatives of the extended family.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Erickson; a sister, Suzanne Sande; a special uncle, Melvin Kangas, and a brother-in-law, Phil Johnson.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 20, 2013, from 6—8 PM in Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.   Visitation will continue Monday Oct. 21, 2013 at First Lutheran Church, Hibbing, from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
