Patricia Jane Lee
Patricia Jane Lee, 90, Hibbing, passed away Tuesday August 27, 2013, at Fairview Range Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Patricia was born and raised in Hibbing and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1941. She received her nursing degree in 1945, and worked at hospitals in Los Angeles and Denver and several years at Hibbing General Hospital.
In 1946, she married Richard “Dick” Lee in California, where Dick was stationed with the US Navy. They returned to Hibbing in 1948, and then moved to Side Lake in 1972, returning to Hibbing in 1997.
Patricia was active in the Order of Eastern Star, Job’s Daughters, First Presbyterian Church, and for over 50 years belonged to a “sewing club” making many best friends.
Throughout her whole life, Patricia aspired to be the best mother. Her unselfishness and devotion to her family truly showed and has left fond and wonderful memories for her entire family.
Patricia is survived by five children: Tom Lee of Minneapolis, Sally (Michael) Valentini of Grand Marais, MaryAnn (Tim) Rasch of Hibbing, Tim Lee of Hibbing, and Chris (Amy) Lee of Side Lake; seven grandchildren: Courtney (Scott) Pernat of Victoria, MN, Lindsay (Tom) Pihl of Chanhassen, MN, Adam (Nicole) Osborne of Hibbing, Kelly (Robert) DeAngelo of Raleigh, NC, LeeAnn (Ken) White of Hibbing, Stephanie Gargano of Duluth, and Jessica (Kevin) Newcomb of Plymouth, MN; and also by 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; a brother, Richard Kermer, two sisters, Dorothy Miroslavich and Shirley Huyser and her parents, Russell and Mildred Kremer.
A memorial service will be held on at 3 PM Friday August 30, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church, Hibbing. The Rev. James Deters will officiate. Visitation will be in the church Friday from 1:30—3 PM., with a prayer service by Order of Eastern Star at 1:30. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
