Paul L. Aubin
Paul L. Aubin, 86, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Monday, August 4, 2014, in Hibbing. He was born on July 22, 1928, to Paul N. and Mae (Cheney) Aubin in Duluth, MN. Paul was known for his work at Aubin Studio in Hibbing. He took over the business from his father when he was just sixteen years old and recently closed the shop in 2009. His work was his life as was raising his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the cabin in Side Lake, MN. In his earlier years, Paul loved pheasant hunting and fishing as his pastimes. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing.
He is survived by his children, Pamela (David) Angen, Hibbing, and Paul E. Aubin, Bloomington, MN; a grandson, Karl Angen, Hibbing, MN; his sister-in-law, Helen (Eugene) Cavicchioni, Iron Mountain, MI; nephews Jim Cavicchioni, Iron Mountain, MI, and David (Kelley) Cavicchioni, Naperville, FL; a niece, Mary Ann Aubin, St. Louis, MO; and a great-niece, Carissa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Aubin, in 2002; parents, Paul and Mae; and his brother, Clarence Aubin.
Funeral services for Paul will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, August 8, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing. Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be held in the church on Friday for one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home. Memorials are preferred.
