Percy E. “Ron” Bosarge
Percy E. Bosarge, 70, longtime resident of Cloverdale passed away on December 14, 2012 at Home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 16, 1942 to Percy and Barbara Bosarge in Pascagoula, MS. Percy lived a rich life moving from Mississippi to New York City, Chicago, Virginia and Florida. He moved back to New York where he met his wife, Arlinda “Lyn” (Ekholm) Bosarge. He then followed her to Minnesota where he has resided for the last 43 years. He owned and operated Homecraft Upholstering in Nashwauk then from his home. He was a member of Laborer’s Local 1097 for 30+ years. As a laborer, he worked at many mines around the Iron Range, Wisconsin and Michigan. Percy became a Safety/OSHA Instructor at the Laborers Training Center in White Bear Lake for five years. He was the fire warden for the Nashwauk Township for 25 years and was a member of the volunteer fire department. He loved hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved his grandchildren and nieces and nephews very much. The candy dish was always full for the kids when they would visit.
Percy is survived by his wife, Arlinda “Lyn” Bosarge, Nashwauk, his five children, Lance (Suzette) Bosarge, Lafayette, OR., Hunter Bosarge, Beaverton, OR., Wade (Alicia) Farrington, Inver Grove Heights, MN., Danielle “Dani” (David) Mathey, Maple Grove, MN., and Derek (Chere’ “Cher”) Bosarge, Keewatin, MN., his ten grandchildren, Lance Bosarge, Kirk and Cameron Bosarge, Cody, LaRissa and Ashanti Farrington, Alexandra and Erin Schneider, Jake Mathey and Teigan Bosarge, his mother-in-law, Delores “Lolly” Ekholm and many nieces and nephews.
Percy was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara “Bobbi” Macchio, his sister, Joann Gramble and his father-in-law, Anton “Bud” Ekholm.
Funeral services for Percy will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The Rev. Karl Emmerson will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Friday. Honorary Pallbearers are; Brian Ekholm, Jeff Ekholm, Cody Ekholm, Corie Ekholm, Jason Ekholm, and Brandon Ekholm. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
