Phillip D. Linn

Phillip D. Linn age 76 of Kelly Lake passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his home with family by his side. He was born December 3, 1947, to Darrell and Opal (Bond) Linn in Grand Rapids, MN. Phillip joined the Air Force and served during the Vietnam War; he retired after 22 years of service at the rank of Master Sergeant. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he lived briefly in New York before settling in Kelly Lake in 1988. Phillip enjoyed fishing, reading, and woodworking. In his woodshop he produced shelves, shadowboxes and toys for the grandkids and great grandkids. Spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids was his true passion. Phillip is survived by his children, Michele Rae Hedlund, Melissa Ann Linn, Michael Vernon Linn, siblings, Michael Robert Linn and Pamela (Doug) Steburg, # grandkids and numerous great grandkids, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1^st wife Patricia Jerde and 2^nd wife Judy Linn, siblings, Glen Wayne and Lisa. 

A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Cornerstone Church in Pengilly. Visitation will be held from 10 am until the beginning of the service at 11 at the church. Interment will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. Mid-Range Honor Guard will accord military honors.
