Phyllis M. Pavich

Phyllis M. Pavich, 88, Hibbing, died Wed. Jan. 16, 2019 in the Guardian Angels Health Care Center in Hibbing.  She was born Sept. 28, 1930 in Hibbing, the daughter of Bernard and Helen Peterson.  Phyllis had worked with her husband John ”Rudy” Pavich as the bookkeeper for Pavich Brothers Inc.  In her free time she enjoyed golfing, curling and playing cards with her friends.  Phyllis was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and sung in the traditional choir there.  She and other musicians also organized a small band that played traditional Croatian music for local nursing homes and the community.

She is survived by her children: Mary (Jon) Chiaravalle, Michael (Jamie) Pavich, Christine (Gary) Aldrich  and Randy (Corrine Allan) Pavich all of Hibbing, a brother Bernard (Isabelle) Peterson of Williamston, SC, 38 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John “Rudy” and sisters: Mary Jane Nelson and Shirley Larson.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hibbing.  Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
