Ralph Argir Jr., 84, Keewatin, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl.  He was born in Hibbing to Ralph and Rosaria Argir on April 11, 1928, graduated from Hibbing High School, and married Josephine “Josie” Kukich in St. Mary’s Catholic Church on April 15, 1950.  Ralph was a Marine Corps. veteran serving in both WW II and Korea.  He had been employed with Minnesota Power for 35 years as a Dispatcher and with Substation Maintenance. Ralph was a member of the American Legion in Keewatin and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Keewatin.
He will be missed by his wife, Josie, 2 sons, Ralph J. Argir, Hibbing, and Joseph (Lynette) Argir, Chisholm, Grandchildren, Sean, Benjamin, Jeremy, and Samantha Argir.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 siblings, and daughter, Joan Marie Argir.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Thursday, March 21, 2013 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with visitation in Church Thursday starting at 11:30 am.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donors choice.
