Raymond A. Paver
Raymond A. Paver, 82, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. He was born on September 6, 1933 to Anton and Frances (Minerich) Paver in Hibbing. He graduated from Hibbing High School. Raymond proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. After his military service, Raymond was employed with Century Matthews as a truck driver. He was a member of the VFW Post 8510 in Hibbing, the local Teamsters Union, and the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. He loved bowling with his wife, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and building picture frames for his entire family.
He is survived by his son, David (Deana Bauer) Paver, Chisholm, MN, his dear friend and companion, Marge Mayerle, Hibbing, MN, sister, Betty Maher, Springfield, MA, grandchildren, Channing and Joseph Paver, and Timothy and Angel Bauer, great-granddaughter, Aiyanna Paver, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maxine in 2000, and two brothers, Johnny and Dennis Paver.
Funeral services for Raymond will be 11:00am, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. The Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing with Military Honors accorded by the Mid-Range Honor Guard. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
