Raymond L. Warmuth
Raymond L. Warmuth, 86, lifelong resident of Hibbing, died Monday, March 16, 2015, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Chisholm, MN.  He was born on November 9, 1928, to Raymond A. and Barbara (Krier) Warmuth in Park Rapids, MN.  Raymond entered the military and proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy.  He later united in the sacrament of marriage with Mavis R. Curtis on August 18, 1951, in Hibbing at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  Raymond was employed as a shovel runner for Minntac during his career.  Raymond loved the outdoors, whether it was fishing or spending time on his hobby farm.  He loved animals, especially his cows.
He is survived by his wife, Mavis R. Warmuth, Hibbing; six children: Michael (Michael McAdam) Warmuth, Waverly, MN, Kathy (Tony) Roethler, Babbitt, MN, Robert (Lisa) Warmuth, Buck Lake, MN, Patrick Warmuth, Hibbing, Patricia (Robert) Luukkonen, Mt. Iron, MN, and Julie (Warren) Stolp, Nashwauk, MN; six siblings: Loretta Poundstone, Hibbing, David (Carolyn) Warmuth, Hibbing, Richard (Barb) Warmuth, Grand Junction, CO, Carolyn Warmuth, North Carolina,  Jim Warmuth, Pengilly, MN, and Connie Warmuth of Farmington, MN; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Barbara Warmuth; two sisters, Barbara “Boots” Labadie and Phyllis Minerich; and three brothers: Leo, Donald and Bernard Warmuth.
Visitation will be 6—8 PM on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 PM.  Visitation will continue on Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing, from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral Mass.  Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment with full military honors accorded by Mid Range Honor Guard will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
