Richard E. “Dick” Branum

Richard E. Branum, 71, longtime resident of Buck Lake, MN passed away peacefully Monday, August 6, 2018 at his home on Buck Lake, near Nashwauk, MN.   He was born May 24, 1947 to Richard and Dorothy (Peterson) Branum in Saint Paul, MN.  He was employed in the construction industry and worked for various places including Gateway Glass during his career.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, grouse hunting, fishing, four-wheeling at and around the log home he built on Buck Lake.  He also enjoyed home improvement as a pastime.

Richard is survived by his dear companion, Barbara Branum, Buck Lake, MN, son, Matthew Branum, Anoka, MN, siblings, Clifford (Lana) Branum, Hawaii, Susan (Howard) Pipkorn, Andover, MN, Judy (Dick) Boutin, Rosemount, MN, Debbie Branum Anoka, MN, John Branum Coon Rapids, MN, Jackie (Rick) Mitre, Austin, TX, Marty (Kim) Branum, Lakeville, MN, numerous nieces, nephews extended relatives and friends.          Richard was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Dororhy (Peterson) Branum.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Richard’s home at a later date.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
