Richard James “Dick” Chiodi
Richard James “Dick” Chiodi, 81, Kitzville, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.  He was born in Hibbing to Anthony and Alyce Chiodi on March 16, 1932 and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1950.  He was a veteran having served in the US Navy. Dick was retired from the Hibbing Fire Department. While he was at the Fire Department Richard also was a part time Iron Worker and Operating Engineer with US Steel and Vidmar’s Iron Works.
Richard is survived by his children, James (Kalynn) Chiodi of Neenah, Wis.,     Michael (Janet Berryhill) Chiodi, N. St. Paul, MN, Karen (Dan) Moen, Duluth, Linda Swanson, Neenah, WI, and 8 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Carole in 2009, son, Steven Chiodi in 1997, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
