Richard H. Dilley
Richard H. Dilley, 87, Hibbing died Saturday, December 26, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in New London, MN, to Ray and Florence (Middagh) Dilley on April 20, 1928. Before his retirement he had been employed with U. S. Steel as a truck driver. He was a self taught mechanic, he loved anything to do with machines and had his own junk yard. He used his mechanical ability in helping two of his sons in their trucking business. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bonnie, children, Richard (Jodi) Dilley, Plymouth, MN, Judy (Kevin) Kutz, Daniel Dilley, Steve (Diane) Dilley, and Donna (Michael) Christianson, all of Hibbing, siblings, Bev (John) Sordi, Ron (Judy) Dilley, and Carol (Bill) Galatz, all of Hibbing, 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter and son in law, Debra and Robert Putzel, brothers, Ed and Sam Dilley.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Deters officiating. Visitation will be in church one hour before the service. Arrangements are with the Dougherty funeral Home.
