Richard C. Johnson, 70, Hibbing died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Essentia Health Care Center in Virginia. He was born on September 11, 1942 to Rudolph and Eleanor (Felty) Johnson in Hibbing.  Richard proudly served in the National Guard.  He later was employed with the Reserve Mine in Babbitt, MN, and most recently retired from Minn-Tac in 1997 where he worked in the tire shop.  He was united in marriage with Patricia “Patty” (Huszak) on January 28, 1993 in Hibbing.  Richard’s favorite pastime was fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Patty “Pat” Johnson, daughters, Candi Johnson, and Teri Johnson, all of Hibbing, his step-daughter, Angela Huszak, Babbitt, MN, two grandchildren, Amber, and Amy, and three great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Eleanor, and one great-granddaughter, Amelia
Graveside services for Richard will be held at 1:00 pm. Friday, July 19, 2013 at  the Columbarium in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  The Rev. Rod Tuomi will officiate.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
