Richard “Rick” Riipinen

Richard “Rick” Riipinen, 55, rural Nashwauk, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 near Buck Lake. He was born in Hibbing to Robert and Jeanne (Zubrod) Riipinen, on April 6, 1960. Rick had been employed in a variety of occupations including the timber industry, general contracting, and with Irathane Systems. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, all of the outdoors and socializing.

He is survived by his mother, Jeanne, Nashwauk, siblings, Karen (Pat) Lucia, Hibbing, Mark (Sue) Riipinen, Chisholm, Bob Riipinen, Nashwauk, John (Amy) Riipinen, Nashwauk, and Kristen (Pat) Furlong, Hibbing, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Riipinen and brother, William Riipinen.

Private funeral services will be held in the Dougherty Funeral Home.   A public reception/gathering will be held at the Buck Lake Improvement Club starting at Noon on Friday, July 24, 2015.
