Richard D. Trebesch
Richard D. Trebesch, 75, longtime resident of Pengilly died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Essentia St. Mary’s of Duluth, MN. He was born on June 26, 1937 to Arthur and Emma (Warmuth) Trebesch in Mahnomen, MN. Richard married Shirley Laakso on November 26, 1959 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Marble. Richard and Shirley raised their family in Woodbury, MN. They spent their summers at the cabin on Swan Lake ever since they were married and eventually called the place on Swan Lake their home. Richard was a longtime member of the Swan Lake Country Club. Richard’s hobbies included golfing, spearing, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Trebesch, Pengilly, MN., nine children, Richard Trebesch, Waconia, MN., Susan Wygant, Roseville, MN., Debra (Russell) Rizzo, Woodbury, MN., Ronald (Eileen) Trebesch, Woodbury, MN., Mary (Tom) Karrow, Woodbury, MN., John Trebesch, Big Lake, MN., Annette (Todd) Ratcliff, St. Paul, MN., Barbara (Dennis) Estenson, Nashotah, WI., and Paul Trebesch, Rochester, MN., his brother, Gerald Trebesch, Salt Lake City, UT., and sister, Janette Radich, Duluth, MN., 26 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Richard will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Hibbing. The Rev. David Petrich will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to memorial service at the church on Saturday. A private family interment will be held at the Nashwauk Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
