Robert Bobich, 86, Nashwauk, died Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Chisholm.  He was born in Crosby, MN on July 9, 1928, to Paul and Rena Bobich.  Robert served in the US Navy during World War II and retired from the Nashwauk School District as stockroom clerk.  He also drove bus for the school district.  Robert was a friendly, talkative person who enjoyed his community.  He loved meeting new people, and visiting with them, whether it was a stranger, student or an old friend.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Bobich, of Nashauk; a daughter, Sherri (Mark Frensko) Senogles of Balkan; two sons, Robert P. (Nancy) Bobich of Hibbing and Duane (Jacki) Bobich of Crosby, MN; four grandchildren:  Justin (Jenny) Senogles of Nashwauk, Jason (Brandy Sallila) Senogles of Rogers, MN, Paul (Sara) Bobich of Fort Riley, KS, and Katie Bobich of Mankato, MN ; three great-grandchildren:  Lilly Bobich, Jared Brohman, and Josh Brohman; two great-great grandchildren, Keelia and Keifer; and by numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; by sisters Elizabeth Johnson, Lilah Marolt, and Pauline Nick; and brothers Alex Waite, Nick Bobich, Henry Bobich, and Thomas Bobich.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 13, 2014, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Nashwauk, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will be in Nashwauk Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
