Robert F. Buchwitz
Robert F. Buchwitz, 63, Toivola died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at home. He was born on April 12, 1949 to Albert and Helen (Maxie) Buchwitz in Hibbing. Originally from Hibbing, Robert graduated from the Hibbing High School. He later joined the United States Navy serving his country for 4 years. Robert was self employed, he owned and operated Ace Heating and Air Conditioning which he started in Plymouth, MN in 1991, and then transitioned to the Toivola Area in 2000, where he has most recently lived. He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Community Church in Toivola, a past Master of the Masonic Lodge 255, the Scottish Right, and the Shriners, where he drove the mini cars, and Motorcycle Corps., and the VFW Post 8510 of Hibbing. He loved traveling to Juneberry, MN., the outdoors, hunting , fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Debra A. Buchwitz, Toivola, MN., two sons, Joseph (Karyn) Buchwitz, Huntington Woods, MI., and James (Stephane) Buchwitz, Strathcona, MN., his mother, Helen (Harold) Salminen, Hibbing, MN., four grandchildren, Dallas Buchwitz, Colby Buchwitz, Bennett Buchwitz, and Lincoln Buchwitz, his nieces, and his dog, Miss Maddie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Buchwitz, two sisters, Doris Maki, and Barbara Miller, and his dog, Buttons.
Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:30am, Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The Rev. Mike Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the 11:30am service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Toivola Cemetery in Toivola, MN. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing
