Robert M. Krampotich, 57, Kelly Lake died Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home in Kelly Lake. He was born on June 12, 1957 to Michael and Marie (Pocrnich) Krampotich in Hibbing. Robert returned home to Kelly Lake in 2009 after the death of his mother. Robert was known for being a handyman. He enjoyed putzing in the yard, working in his mother’s garden, woodworking, and truly loved playing guitar.
He is survived by his children, April (Jon) Patterson, Nashwauk, MN, Robert M. “R.J.” Krampotich, St. Cloud, MN, step-daughter, Alyssa Leach and step-son Tony Leach, both of Minneapolis, MN, his six siblings, Jack (Marie) Krampotich, Kelly Lake, MN, Rudy (Helen) Krampotich, St. Cloud, MN, Gene (Francisca) Krampotich, Spain, Annie (Steve) Larson, Hibbing, Margie (Mike) Skorich, Hibbing, and Gary (Vickie) Krampotich, Kelly Lake, two grandchildren, Elleanore and Gavin, many nieces and nephews, and his best 4 legged friend, “Boga”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Martin, Mickey, and Steve, and sister, Eva Darlene.
Per Robert’s request, there will be a private funeral service held at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The Rev. Fr. Brian Lederer will officiate. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.
