Robert Ouke

Robert Ouke, 85, Side Lake, died on June 21, 2013 surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 3, 1927 in Carson Lake  to Frances and Paul Ouke .
The family later moved to California where Bob worked in the Navy shipyards prior to enlisting in the US Navy and served in the Pacific until discharge.  After discharge the family returned to the Hibbing area and Bob began employment with MA Hanna and National Steel.  In 1951 he married Dorothy Koenig.
He retired in 1983 and he and Dorothy moved to Beatrice Lake where they spent many enjoyable years with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike and sister Mildred (Mitzi) Lubovich.
He is survived by Dorothy Ouke, wife of 61 years, Beatrice Lake, and children  Paul Michael (Ruth Murray)Ouke, Pengilly, MN., Bo (Jeanne) Ouke, Layton, UT., Lori Baker, Sioux Falls, SD., Nick (Jane) Ouke, Ely Lake, MN., Lisa Ouke, St. Paul, MN.,13  grandchildren, 11  great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Gabriel will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Blessed Sacrament Parish.
