Robert O. Rosenberg
Robert O. Rosenberg, 93, Hibbing, died Friday, February 14, 2014, at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl.  He was born Oct. 13, 1920, to Otto and Esther Rosenberg in St. Paul, MN.  Bob served in the US Navy during World War II and was united in marriage to Frances Eakin on March 23, 1946.  From 1946—1951, he worked for Swift and Company in St. Paul, MN.  In 1951, Bob and Fran moved to Hibbing where he worked as the controller for Mesaba Service and Supply until his retirement in 1985.  Bob was active in the Masonic Temple as a member of Mesaba Lodge #255, Hibbing Lodge of Perfection and the Aad Temple Shrine, Duluth.  He was also a member of First Presbyterian Church, VFW Post 8510, the Algonquin Club, Mesaba Country Club and a past member of the Hibbing School Board.
He is survived by a son, Steve (Nancy) Rosenberg of Roswell, GA; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Rosenberg of Hansen, ID; four grandchildren:  Sarah Rosenberg, Kalyn Rosenberg, Brandon Rosenberg, and Niki Rosenberg--Anderson; by several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, in 1995; a son, Paul, in 2003; a sister, June Munkholm; and by his parents.
Visitation will be 5—7 PM Monday February 17, 2014, at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 18, at First Presbyterian Church from 10 Am until the 11 AM funeral service.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Roof and Brick Fund or the First Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
