Roger L. Carlstrom
Roger L. Carlstrom, 65, Hibbing died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. He was born on August 14, 1948 to Tony and Vivian H. (Tawyea) Carlstrom in Hibbing, MN. He was employed as a Sales Representative with Ziegler Inc., for over 30 years. Roger had been a member of the Hibbing Curling Club, the Bocce Club, and the H.O.G. Club. He enjoyed operating his Ham radio, fishing, deer hunting, and woodworking as pastimes.
He is survived by his wife, Arlis Carlstorm; Hibbing, his three children, Erica Carlstrom, Eugene, OR, Jim (Kim) Carlstrom, Grand Rapids, MN; and Erin Aylesworth, also of Grand Rapids, MN.; his three siblings, Astrid (Richard) Junget, Duluth, MN, David (Geri) Carlstrom, Chisholm, MN, and Gregory (Candace) Carlstrom, Burnsville, MN; five grandchildren, Trevor and Connor Veillette, Bella and Lindi Carlstrom, and Cooper Aylesworth, and his nine nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Lance D. Carlstrom in 1997, an infant brother, James Anthony Carlstrom, and his parents, Tony and Vivian H. (Tawyea) Carlstrom,
Funeral services for Roger will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. The Rev. Larry Quanbeck will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
