Roger Christian

Roger Eugene Christian, 85, lifelong resident of Pengilly passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Grand Village Nursing Home in Grand Rapids, MN. He was born on December 18, 1932 to Gilmore and Irene (Beliveau) Christian in Nashwauk. In 1960 he married his wife of 57 years Carol. Roger owned and operated Christian Jewelry and was a member of the Nashwauk Jaycees. He was an avid camper and fisherman. Roger enjoyed visiting the local casinos and vacationing in Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife Carol (Uhlenkamp); brother, Wilbert Christian, Pengilly, MN, brother in law Ralph Uhlencamp, Pengilly, MN, sister in law Ying Uhlenkamp, San Diego, CA, and several nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Gilmore and Irene; sister Deloris Anick; brother in law Jim Anick; sisters in law Mavis Christian and Margaret Uhlenkamp, and brother in law Roger Uhlenkamp. Memorial service will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 12, 2018 in Pengilly United Methodist Church with Pastor Dianne Bolles officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery of Coleraine.
