Roger F. Stolp
Roger F. Stolp, 82, Cloverdale, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm. He was born in Hutchinson, MN to William and Evelyn Stolp on February 11, 1932 and was a longtime Nashwauk area resident. Roger was a United States Army Veteran. He had been employed with National Steel, retiring as a Control Room Operator. He was a member of the American Legion #307, Nashwauk, and the Future Farmers of America.
He is survived by his sons, Warren (Julie) Stolp and Brian (Mary Jo) Stolp, both of Nashwauk, Dean (Vikki) Stolp, Maple Grove, MN, and Jeff Stolp, Dayton, OH, his brother, Donn Stolp, Nashwauk , MN, 7 grandchildren, Samantha Stolp, Sarah Stolp, Nicole (Andy) Stolp, Travis (Megan Eckstein) Stolp, Jarid Stolp, Justin Stolp, and Jamie Stolp, one great grandson, Carson Stolp. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Stolp, and his sister, Lynn Nickerson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the Dougherty Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Lofgren officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 am. until the Noon service time. Burial will be in Nashwauk Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Mid-Range Honor Guard.
