Ronald D. Deyo, 80, Britt, MN, died Friday, May 22, 2015 in his home. He was born May 7, 1935 in Chatfield, MN, the son of John and Elizabeth Deyo. He married Betty Holets in 1952. Being a crane operator working out of the union, Ronald had lived many different towns across the United States. He was an active member of Our Saviors’ Lutheran Church in Hibbing and also had volunteered for the Salvation Army. He was a member of the Hematite Lodge #274 AF & AM and the Aad Temple Shrine of Duluth. In his free time Ronald spent time with the family he loved. His interests also included reading, woodworking, canoeing and cross country skiing.
He is survived by his wife Betty, his children Bonnie (Harold Hopkins) Deyo of Lander, WY, Linda (Richard) Vukich of Hibbing and Micheal(sp correct) (Sarah) Deyo of Lander, WY, brothers James (Pat) Deyo of Cedar Rapids, IA and Ervin Deyo of St. Paul, MN a sister Rachelle Deyo also of St. Paul, his grandchildren Jesse (Ani) Heikkila, Christopher (Angela) Heikkila, Jeremy (Melissa) Vukich, Nicolle (Michael) Ogbourne, Chad (Lacie) Deyo, Tracy (Dan) Larsen, Callie (Greg) Scott and Rylea (EZ Alcarez) Munden, along with 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
Celebration of Life services will be held Sat. May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am. in our Saviors Lutheran Church, Hibbing. Visitation will be in the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
