Ronald Lang, 78, Hibbing, died Monday, November 10, 2014 in Bemidji.  He was born in Hibbing to Luther and Marie (Viljanen) Lang on April 13, 1936.  Ron was a youth hockey coach, an avid outdoorsman, and loved to travel.  He had been a member of the Hibbing Police Department for over 28 years and was a member of the MPPOA competitive shooting team from Hibbing.  Ron was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, three children, Debra (Gene) Lenzen, Iron,  MN, Roberta Lang, Hibbing, and Jeff (Shari) Lang, Hibbing, his brother, Donald (Patricia) Lang, St. Mary’s GA, two grandchildren, Jessica Perkins and Samantha Lang, and great granddaughter, Allison Perkins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Friday in the Dougherty Funeral Home and continue at noon on Saturday in Church.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial are preferred to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #3.
