Rose Ann Dougherty Mahon
Died unexpectedly but peacefully after a brief illness on Sat., March 2, in Hastings, MN. Rose Ann was born Dec. 7, 1920 to Josephine and Thomas Dougherty in Hibbing, MN. She was the 4th of 8 children. Rose Ann will be remembered for her love of her family and the game of golf. She could never resist a good game of cards. She was an exceptional bridge player, a voracious reader, an avid solver of crossword puzzles and believed strongly in keeping her mind sharp. She loved to travel and meet new people, and always kept her friends close.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stan Mahon, daughter, Bridget Reynolds, and grandson, Josh Kastl. Rose Ann is survived by her daughters, Patsy Hellings and Mary (Larry) Regenscheid, and son, Casey (Joanie) Mahon along with nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. She also leaves brothers Tom, John, Patrick and sister, Kathryn Hermann.
A Mass will be celebrated for Rose Ann on March 23 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing, MN with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
