Rose Ann Pierce
Rose Ann Pierce, 70, lifelong resident of Kelly Lake died Monday September 3, 2018 at Fairview Range Medical Center, Hibbing. She was born to Robert and Helen (Baker) Zozgornik in Hibbing on March 29, 1948. She became a loving wife-marrying John W. Pierce Sr. in 1966. She was an energetic and hard working person-started and owned Range 1Hour Photo with Sonja for more than two decades. Rose retired from National Steel Pellet Company with over 20 years of service and was a proud member of Local #2660. Even with her MS putting her in a wheelchair she continued to make quilts. She was a member of the Kelly Lake Community Center where she donated a lot of time making pasties, sarmas and quilts for the community. Rose was one of the most positive people you could be around and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Besides being a loving wife to John she was a great mom to John (Nicol Capitoni)) Pierce Jr and Daniel (Kristina) Pierce both of Hibbing, grandma to Drake (Jamee), Mallory, Katie, and Miranda, sister to Mary Bird, best great grandma to Liam, and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Royce Bird and her parents.
Funeral services will be in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Tuesday September 11, 2018 with the Rev. Beau Braun celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be in Church one hour before Mass. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
