Ruth K. Soular

Ruth K. Soular, 94, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Serving Hands Assisted Living in Chisholm, MN. She was born on April 13, 1920 to Harve and Belva (Crosley) Walters in Hibbing. A homemaker by trade, she raised her loving family in Hibbing. She was a member of the Hibbing Catholic Community, bowling leagues in Hibbing for many years, and her local Bridge Club. She enjoyed playing cards, was an avid reader and liked bowling as her pastimes.

She is survived by her four children, Nicholas (Teresa) Woitel Jr., Michigan, Kelly (Susan) Woitel, St. George, TX, David Woitel, and Carol Newton, both of Hibbing, her step-son, Bill Soular Jr., Minneapolis, MN, her special niece Shirley Huntsperger, Hibbing, 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 30 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 ^st husband, Nick Woitel Sr., in 1969, 2 ^nd husband, William Soular Sr. in 1988, sister, Glee Paterson, seven brothers, Ray, Norman, Philip, Rolland, Clifford, John, and Art Walters, and her grandson, Loren Woitel.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The Rev. Mr. Raymond Sampson will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
