Sharon A. LaMere

Sharon Alice LaMere age 86 of Iron, MN passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Essentia-St. Mary’s in Duluth. She was born on September 22, 1938, in Hill City, MN to Kenneth and Monica (Walch) Smart.

 Her family later moved north of Nashwauk where she spent her childhood. She was joined in marriage to William LaMere at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in 1958. Sharon worked as a housekeeper for numerous families in Hibbing. 

She is survived by her husband of nearly 67 years, William, son, Robbin LaMere, Anchorage, AK, sisters, Norma (Arnold) Link, Anchorage, AK, Kay Campbell, Hibbing, MN, Melody (Gene) Lesmoe, Ham Lake, MN, Joy (Donald) Sanders, Andover, MN, numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Monica, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and her son, Shawn LaMere. 

Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. Interment will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
