Steve Klobuchar

Steve Klobuchar, 92, Kelly Lake, MN, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 in his home.  He was born Oct. 23, 1924 in Leetonia, to Robert and Eva Klobuchar.  Steve was an Army veteran of World War II and had worked for the Hanna Mining Co. as a mechanic.   He retired in 1987 after 41 years of service.  Steve loved fishing, family and spending time with his great granddaughters.  The family would like to thank Kate, the hospice nurse, for the excellent care she gave Steve.

He is survived by his loving wife Marlene; son, Steve (Kathy) Klobuchar; daughter Cindy (Vern) Hawkinson, stepson Dave (Sheila Krogstad) Brletich; stepdaughters Kim Brletich and Audra (Mike) White along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Della (Jensrud) Klobuchar, his parents, brothers; John, Emil, George, and Robert; his sister Mary and a stepdaughter Pamela O’Connor

As per the family’s wishes a private burial will be held at a later date in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
