Suzana V. Eckstrom 74, lifetime resident of Hibbing passed away Thursday January 12, 2017 at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born to Peter and Suzana (Urvan) Lubina on August 3, 1942 in Hibbing. Suzana was employed as an Electrical Assembler for Hibbing Electronics for 23 years, retiring in 2008. She was a supporter of the Wounded Warrior’s project a charity she was very proud to be a part of. Suzana was an avid fisherwoman. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren watching Nickelodeon on television.
Suzana is survived by two sons Scott (Theresa) Eckstrom, Grantsburg, WI, Russ Eckstrom, Gransburg, WI; and one daughter Diana Eckstrom, Sioux City, IA; her brother John Lubina, California; sisters, Angie Lefebvre, California, and Betty Moscatelli, Rochester, MN; eight grandchildren, Tim (Jasmine) Eckstrom, Devin Eckstrom, Tattie (William Peake) Eckstrom, Jetisha Ekstrom, Daymin Ekstrom, Jackie (Harley) Parks, Josh Eckstrom, and Shannon Burt; six great-grandchildren, Harley Parks Jr, Jilein Parks, Jewelein Parks, Katelyn Eckstrom, Majesty Ekstrom and Haven Ekstrom, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Suzana was preceded in dealth by her parents, her sisters Maryann Lubina and Eva Boldt, and her brother Peter Lubina Jr.
Funeral Services for Suzana will be held at 12:00 noon at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The Rev. Rod Tuomi will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home on Monday. Interment will be held at a later date at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
