Terrence “Terry” Lee Ellich
Terrence “Terry” Lee Ellich, 70, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born on June 11, 1947 to Joseph and Violet (Church) Ellich in Hibbing. Terry graduated from the Hibbing High School and later attended Dunwoody Institute. He also proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Terry owned and operated Eagle Equipment, supplying computer services for 35 years. He was a very active member at the Mesabi Country Club as well as holding office as past president and board member. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge, the Trap Club, the Curling Club, and an avid card player at the Algonquin Club. In his later years, Terry enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Debby Thompson, Hibbing, his daughter, Lisa Marie Ellich, Hibbing, brother, Tom (Kathy) Ellich, Hibbing, his nieces and nephews, along with his numerous brother’s and sister’s in-law.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Grandma’s in the Park Reception Hall in Hibbing. A Spring Internment will be held at the Veteran’s National Cemetery in Duluth, MN Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
