Terry G. Pearson, age 69 of Hibbing, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 3, 2025, doing what he loved, trucking. Terry was born September 29, 1955, in Hibbing to Milton and Phyllis (Verplaetse) Pearson. He was a 1974 graduate of Hibbing High School. Throughout his life Terry continued to further his education, attaining degrees in automotive mechanics, diesel mechanics, electronic technician and lastly in 2003 law enforcement. He worked as a trucker for most of his career, buying his first semi in 1978. Terry owned and operated his own trucking business, E.T. Trucking, on and off for numerous years. After he received his degree in law enforcement, he was a police officer in Floodwood, MN and later in Forsyth, MO. Trucking was Terry’s true passion and after his time as a police officer he found himself once again driving for Jeff Foster Trucking. Despite always being on the road Terry enjoyed road trips with his wife Eileen, especially to Branson, MO. Family was the most important thing to Terry, and he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Eileen; children Lara (Gino) DeGuiseppi, Katie (Mike) Verhel, Jennifer (Chris) Kohel, and Jacob (Jessica) Davidson; eight grandchildren, Piper, Kaitlin, Dainen, Elaina, Samara (Joey Vespa), Hayden, Mariah, and Gabriel. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bryce Pearson. A memorial service will be held 1 pm Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Casual attire is preferred.
