Theresa L. “Teri” Maki
Theresa L. “Teri” Maki, 47, Nashwauk, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, in her home. Teri was born August 28, 1967, to Clyde and Margaret Barr. She spent her early years in Kelly Lake, then the family moved to Libby Lake. From third grade through graduation Teri attended the Nashwauk School System. Teri loved visiting with everyone she met and worked at many area businesses, including Leisure Hills, Fairview Range Medical Center, Hibbing Goodwill Store, Thrifty White Drug, Guyer’s Store, Pizza Ranch, and Hibbing Park Hotel. Teri and Greg Maki were united in marriage on January 21, 1987, and recently made their home near Rock Creek, north of Nashwauk.
She is survived by her husband, Greg, of Nashwauk; a son, Bradley Maki, of Duluth; a grandson, Aaron Peake; her parents, Clyde “Butch” and Margaret Barr of Nashwauk; a sister, Melissa (Dr. Mark) Versich of Hibbing; a brother, Clyde Barr III, of Nashwauk; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Teri was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Sara Maki, in 2014, and her maternal grandparents, Edward and Aili Kemp.
