Timothy Martin Gremes

Timothy Gremes, 53, Hibbing died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at home in Hibbing.  He was born on May 11, 1962 to  Daniel and Beverly (Fahleen) Gremes in Hibbing.  Tim was a graduate of the Hibbing High School, after graduation he enlisted into the U.S. Airforce where he proudly served his country for four years.  Upon completing his active duty, Tim achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in law enforcement.  He was employed with the Anderson, IN, Police Department in the K-9 unit with his beloved partner, Rocky, from July 5, 1995 until June 4, 2005.  He returned to Hibbing and was employed as a millwright for Minntac.  He married Tammy Kesanen on July 11, 2009 in Hibbing.  He was a member of the American Legion, and the U.S. Steelworkers Local 1938.  Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and remodeling his home, but most of all his family came first.  He had a wonderful sense of humor that was contagious.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Gremes, Hibbing, MN, five children, Ryan Maki, Chisholm, MN, Brittany Gremes, Phoenix, AZ, Tyler (Samantha) Maki, Hibbing, Kayleigh Maki, Chisholm, MN, and Cassidy Maki, Hibbing.  He is also survived by and loved by his 11 dear brothers and sisters, two beautiful granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Beverly (Fahleen) Gremes,

Per Tim’s request there will be a private family service held at his home at a later date.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
