Tony R. Labadie

Tony R. Labadie, 48, Hibbing, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Hibbing while enroute to his sister’s house to dog sit “Boots”, one of his favorite pastimes. He was born Oct. 19, 1966 in Chisholm, MN, the son of Leonard and Barbara Labadie.  Anthony had lived in Chisholm for many years where he worked for the Iron Kettle Restaurant. Other things that Tony loved to do include making his creations with Lego’s, his trains and video games, walking, biking, visiting friends and watching his many videos. Tony met everyone with a smile, a handshake or a hug. He had a very gentle and loving personality that will be deeply missed by all.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Mary Kay (Jerry) Petrangelo of Grand Rapids, MN, Clara Joe (Joe Erjavec) Salmi of Eveleth, MN, Linda (Peter) Nowak of Madison, WI, Peggy (Dennis) Johnson of Hibbing, Calvin (Kathy) Kangas of Chisholm, MN and Victor (Debra) Labadie of Makinen, MN along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Lenny and Walter Kangas and his beloved cat Tommy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing. Visitation will be from Noon until service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
