Vera Mae Hagen
February 1, 1930 – March 8, 2014
Vera Mae Hagen, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl. She was born to Alex and Mary Tobias on February 1, 1930.  She married Floyd Hagen in Park Rapids, MN and they moved to Buhl, MN where they resided until Floyd passed away in 1994.  Vera was a dedicated homemaker and volunteer.  She loved to be outdoors gardening and fishing.  She also enjoyed playing cards, spending time with friends and family, and attending social events. Vera was a kind and compassionate woman whose love was shown unconditionally. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Mike) Thelen, Park Rapids, MN, and Judy DeWandeler, Fargo, ND, sons, Richard Hagen, Virginia, MN, Gary Hagen, Park Rapids, Bernie Hagen, Buhl, Ron (Rose) Hagen, Park Rapids, Mike Hagen, Hibbing, and Dale Hagen, Buhl, 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  Vera was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd Hagen, daughter Connie Hagen, special friend, Bruce Barker, and her siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Buhl with the Rev. Fr. Fred Method celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be from 5:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. Tuesday in the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing and continue at 10:00 am., Wednesday in the Church.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Buhl. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
