Vernon W. Wenberg, Jr.
Vernon W. Wenberg Jr., 80, longtime Hibbing resident, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at his home.  He was born in a Mora, MN to Vernon and Verna Wenberg on March 26, 1933.  Vern completed his education with a Phd. in Performing Arts and was the Theater Arts Professor at the Hibbing Community College for many years.  He also was involved with many productions in the community as well as college theaters.  Vern was known as quite a chef working at various establishments.  He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Hibbing. Beyond all things, Vernon cared about family most.  He was a devoted husband, father, and person to society.
Vern will be missed by his wife, Resty; children, Kris (Mark) Hunt of Ramsey, MN, Cassandra Wenberg in Hibbing, and Vernon “Reggie” Wenberg, Ft. Gordon; GA, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday, December 21, 2013 in the Dougherty Funeral Home with the Rev.
