Victoria Carol “Vita” Durheim

Victoria C. “Vita” Durheim, 86, Keewatin, died Thursday September 13, 2012, in Northfield Manor, Menomonee Falls, WI, where she had resided for the past five years.  She was born in Nashwauk, MN on March 11, 1926, to Joseph and Domenica Serratore.  Victoria graduated from Nashwauk High School and during World War II she worked for Boeing as a “Rosie the Riveter.”  While raising her family, she worked at Michelich Grocery in Keewatin and later for several years at Hibbing Electronics.  She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Keewatin.
She is survived by a son, Ritchie (Sandra) Durheim of Milwaukee, WI; a daughter-in-law, Jerilyn Durheim of Hermantown, MN; 4 grandchildren:  Teresa (Timothy) Geisler of Arlington Heights, IL, Michael (Ine Jorgensen) Durheim of Durham, NC, Ann Durheim of Washington D.C., and Joseph Durheim of Washington D.C.; 3 great-grandchildren:  William, Jake, and Daniel Geisler; a brother, Frank Serratore of Grand Rapids, MN; a brother-in-law, John “Butch” Sapan of Keewatin; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Bud” Durheim in 2007; a son, Thomas Durheim, in 2000; a grandson, Mark Durheim, in 1995; her parents; and siblings Theresa Serratore, Angeline Sapan, and Thomas Serratore.
Visitation will be Saturday September 29, 2012, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing, from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral Mass.  The Rev.
