Violet A. Galletto

Violet A. Galletto, 96, longtime resident of Hibbing passed away, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing.  She was born July 26, 1922 to Michael and Angela (Lenarich) Sersich in Chisholm, MN.  A homemaker by trade, Violet enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid crossword puzzle player, playing solitaire on her i-pad, and doing ceramics.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.

She is survived by her children, Judith (John “Jack”) Brula, McGregor, MN, Patricia (Donald) Rodningen, Brainerd, MN, Nancy (Paul) Fatticci, Hibbing, and Diane (Michael) Brown, Hibbing, five grandchildren, Nicholas (Katie) Brula, Daniel (Jill) Brula, Angela (Charles) Olson, Sarah Brown, and Richard (Kelsey) Brown, five great-grandchildren, Chase & Lucy, and Weston, Hayden, and Clara, with two more great-grandsons on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vincent in 1996, grandson, Matthew Brula, and two siblings along with their spouses, Rose (Robert) Koivisto, and John (Rose) Sersich.

Funeral services for Violet will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Saturday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
