Virginia J. Konesky

Virginia J. Konesky, 93, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Friday, June 5, 2015 at The Wellington Assisted Living facility in Saint Paul, MN. She was born on February 9, 1922 to Jack and Concetta (Perry) Baratto in Kitzville, MN. She was a member of Hibbing Catholic Community and was involved with her church. She was an avid reader, she loved gardening, crocheting, music, dancing with her husband, and keeping her house notoriously clean.

She is survived by her children, Constance (Ron) Rutter, Redding, CA, and Mary Ann (Greg) Wahl, Saint Paul, MN; her granddaughter, Ashley (Dan) Johnson, also of Saint Paul, MN. Also surviving her is her sister-in-law, Santina Baratto, Hibbing, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Concetta; her husband, John in 2012; and her brothers and sisters: Tony Baratto, Mary (Baratto) Crea, Gabriele, Joseph, John, Peter, and Victor Baratto, and Fran Bonelli.

A private graveside service for Virginia was held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
