William J. Fagan Jr.

William J. Fagan Jr. 86, Hibbing, MN died Friday, April 19, 2019 in the Fairview Range Medical Center, Hibbing.  He was born June 2, 1932 in Duluth, MN and had graduated from Hibbing High School in 1950 and then from the University of Notre Dame in 1954.  Bill had served in the Army and was stationed in Chicago.  He married Kathleen Webster on May 2, 1957 and lived in various places until returning to Hibbing in 1960.  He worked as a salesman servicing the mining industry.  He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Mesaba Country Club, the Eshquaguma  Country Club, the Loyal Order of Elks and the Algonquin Club.  He also served on the Board of Directors for the ODC and the United Way.  In his free time, he enjoyed trap shooting, hunting and fishing, but his greatest pleasure came with the cocktails and conversations that followed.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his children William III “B.J.” of Hibbing, Kimberly Fagan of Hibbing and Brian (Brenda) Fagan of Hibbing.  3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Pat and Mike.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing.  Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing
