William J. “Bill” Jaglowski
William J. “Bill” Jaglowski, 91, Hibbing, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in Hibbing. He was born on Oct. 23, 1921, in Proctor, MN to Peter and Paulina Jaglowski. Bill was united in marriage to Nellie North on March17, 1946, in Chicago, and they lived there for five years while Bill worked in a brewery. They moved to Hibbing in 1951, where Bill worked in the mines as a truck driver. He worked in North Hibbing for Pierce Mining Company and later for Butler Brothers Mining Company. He retired from National Steel Pellet Company. He was an avid walker and bicycle rider and a dedicated member of the Salvation Army Church.
He is survived by four children: Pauline Jackson of Hibbing, Bill (Catherine) Jaglowski, Jr. of Hayward, WI, Patty (Rod) Syverson and Pam (Frank) Lenich, both of Hibbing; a brother, Leonard Jaglowski of Oakley, CA; eight grandchildren: Tammie (Leo) Susa, Tina Sundberg, Melissa Jaglowski, Nicole (Michael) Klasko, Crystal Orr, Amanda Hawley, Ashley Lenich and Danielle Lenich; nine great-grandchildren: Kiara Susa, Amber Susa, Brien Sundberg, Brandon Cohen, Tristan Klasko, Cassandra Klasko, Sam Klasko, Garrett Klasko, and Naomi Hawley; a great-great-granddaughter, Abby Himle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie, in 1990; by his parents and siblings Alex Jaglowski, Floyd Jaglowski, Margaret Andrican, and Angeline Lynch.
Funeral service will be 12 Noon, Monday July 1, 2013, at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Lt. Randy Stahl will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
